COVID-19 Updates

Our updates relating to the COVID-19 pandemic:

30 August 2021

Dear valued customers,

We have been notified that a customer with a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) was present in our Tasman Butchers Deer Park Store at the Brimbank Shopping Centre, on Thursday 26th August, 2021 from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

As a fresh meat retailer, we already have very high standards of cleaning and hygiene in place, and in addition to these high cleaning standards, the store had a comprehensive, deep clean on 29th August. The store has now been re-opened for business and customers should be assured they can continue to safely shop at our Deer Park store.

We want to assure you, the safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and broader community is our highest priority, and in line with public health advice, we are taking all necessary steps to ensure ongoing safety in our stores.

We have been notified that a customer with a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) was present in our Tasman Butchers Melton Store on Saturday 7th August, 2021 from 11:15am to 11.40am.

As a fresh meat retailer, we already have very high standards of cleaning and hygiene in place, and in addition to these high cleaning standards, the store had a comprehensive, deep clean overnight on 10th August. The store has now been re-opened for business and customers should be assured they can continue to safely shop at our Melton store.

We want to assure you, the safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and broader community is our highest priority, and in line with public health advice, we are taking all necessary steps to ensure ongoing safety in our stores.

As an essential service, all Tasman Butchers stores will remain OPEN with business trading as usual.

To keep everyone as safe as possible, please note the following guidelines currently in place:

 

SERVICE VICTORIA QR CODE

  • To assist with contact tracing, please scan the QR code upon entry to the store.

 

INCREASED CLEANING & SANITISATION THROUGHOUT OUR STORES

  • Extra cleaning & sanitisation will continue throughout our stores, especially to high contact areas within the store, including trolleys, baskets, checkout areas and card terminals.

 

HAND SANITISATION AVAILABLE

  • Hand sanitiser is provided at the entrance to each store for everyone to sanitise their hands prior to entry.

 

SOCIAL DISTANICNING MEASURES

  • The number of customers will be restricted in-store, at any one time.
  • Customers are asked to maintain social distancing with other shoppers in-store.


PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

  • Fresh meat is delivered daily to all stores and there is plenty of meat available.

 

LESS CONTACT NEAR THE CHECK-OUT

  • While cash payments remain available, we encourage you to use ‘contactless’ card payments where possible.


As your health and safety remain a priority for us, please respect the guidelines we have in place.

Dear valued customers,

In line with new Victorian Government rules regarding face masks, please see below update:

  • Face masks are no longer required as a condition of entry.
  • For your convenience, hand sanitiser is available at the front of the store.

 
All other safety measures will remain in place throughout all Tasman Butchers stores.

We appreciate the continued respect and courtesy shown to our team members and thank you for your ongoing patience and support as together, we do all we can to keep our communities safe.

Dear valued customers,

Please note that pre-slicing of meat and other traditional butchery services are once again available at all Tasman Butcher stores.


To keep everyone as safe as possible, the following safety measures will remain in place. These include:

Increased cleaning and sanitisation throughout our stores

  • Extra cleaning & sanitisation is being maintained throughout our stores, especially to high contact areas within the store, including trolleys, baskets, checkout areas and card terminals.


Face masks required

  • All customers over 12 years of age, must wear a face mask as a condition of entry to our stores.
  • Please note that any item that requires being held up against the mouth and nose is not acceptable; it must be freestanding.


Hand sanitisation required

  • The use of our hand sanitiser, provided at the entry to each store, is a condition of entry to our stores.


Keeping a safe distance

  • To help you maintain social distancing with other shoppers and team members in-store, the number of customers in-store, at any one time has been restricted.
  • Once inside, please use the length of your trolley as a guide or if using a basket, maintain a distance of at least 1.5m from others.
  • When at the registers, please stay behind the markers in front of the registers, to keep at a safe distance.


Product Availability

  • There is plenty of meat available with fresh meat delivered daily to all stores, where it is prepared and packed on site.


Less contact near the checkout

  • Our team members are available to pack your bags if you prefer.
  • While cash payments remain available, we encourage you to use ‘contactless’ card payments where possible.
