COVID-19 Updates

Our updates relating to the COVID-19 pandemic:

22 July 2020

Dear valued customers,

In line with new Victorian Government rules regarding face masks, please see below update:

  • All customers over 12 years of age, must wear a face mask as a condition of entry to our stores, from 8.00am Thursday, July 23.
  • As per Victorian Government guidelines, face masks can also include bandanas, scarves and any other freestanding cover that sufficiently covers the mouth and nose.
  • Please note that any item that requires being held up against the mouth and nose is not acceptable; it must be freestanding.

All other safety measures will remain in place throughout all Tasman Butchers stores, including the use of our hand sanitiser as an existing condition of entry.

We appreciate the continued respect and courtesy shown to our team members and thank you for your ongoing patience and support as together, we do all we can to keep our communities safe.

15 July 2020

Dear valued customers,

In light of the recent spread of COVID-19 cases in Victoria and to ensure the most effective protection is in place for the safety of both our customers and team members, please see below update regarding masks:

As the Victorian Government’s advice on the use of masks is optional, it’s not compulsory to wear one in our stores.

If you are in any doubt, or would simply feel more comfortable, please do wear a mask when you come into the store. This is the same guidance we have given to our teams.

While we welcome you wearing a mask if you choose, please don’t be judgemental of others who choose not to, whether team members or other customers. It is an individual decision and we ask that you respect the choice of others.

The advice also remains that physical distancing and regular hand washing remain the best defence against COVID-19.

All other safety measures will remain in place throughout all Tasman Butchers stores.

Please don’t come into a store if you feel unwell, should be in mandatory isolation or have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.

We appreciate the continued respect and courtesy shown to our team members and thank you for your ongoing patience and support as together, we do all we can to keep our communities safe.

9 June 2020

Dear valued customers,

To keep everyone as safe as possible, the following safety measures are in place:

Increased cleaning & sanitisation throughout our stores

  • We are maintaining extra cleaning & sanitisation throughout our stores, especially to high contact areas within the store, including trolleys, baskets, checkout areas and card terminals.

Hand sanitisation recommended

  • For your convenience, hand sanitiser is available at the entrance to each store for everyone to use.

Keeping a safe distance

  • To assist with social distancing with other shoppers and team members in-store, we will be restricting the number of customers in-store, at any one time and kindly ask that you maintain a distance of at least 1.5m from others.
  • Please stay behind the markers when at the registers, to keep at a safe distance.

Less contact near the checkout

  • Our team members are now available to recommence packing your bags if you prefer.
  • While cash payments remain available, we encourage you to use ‘contactless’ card payments where possible.

As your health and safety remains a priority for us, please respect the guidelines we have put in place. We appreciate this is a testing time for everyone and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
