Asian pork spare ribs

Serves: 6 | Preparation Time: 10 mins | Cooking time: 1hr


  • 1kg x Tasman pork spare ribs, without the bone (sliced into 1 inch pieces, you can ask our butchers to do this)
  • 4 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Chinese chilli sauce
  • ¼ tsp five spice powder
  • 1/3 cup dry sherry
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2.5 cm ginger


  1. Preheat oven to 200oC.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, adding in the pork last, and marinate for an hour.
  3. Place the pork pieces on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour, or until pork is tender. Baste frequently with the marinade.
  4. These are a delicious snack on their own or served with some rice and veggies for a tasty meal!
